Extra Curricular Activities

Maxwell Public School places special attention on physical education and physical fitness. It provides a unique opportunity to develop and maintain healthy behaviours and support academic achievement of our nations’s young people. It will cover a whole range of games, sports, aerobics and drills. Organised uniformed services like Scouts & Guides are conducted in full swing to inculcate a sense of discipline, a secular outlook and a spirit of helping others.

The School has four houses – Red House, Blue House, Green House and Yellow House to encourage team spirit, co-operativeness and friendly feeling among the students. Inter- House Competitions are held and point system is maintained for all competitions and prizes awarded on the Annual Day/Sports Day.

The School has an excellent choir which performs for all the functions of the School. The School Choir practice is held every day during Zero Periods.

Maxwell has a well-trained School Band and children develop their musical talents on various instruments at various celebrations like Independence Day, Sports Meet, Annual Day etc.

Educational tours and trips are organized every year for each section separately at extra cost. The students of secondary section are encouraged to participate in educational tours every year.

Importance is given to various skills like:
Drawing, Sketching, Painting, Craf Work, Clay Work, Wood Work,Decorations etc.

Special dance classes are arranged both in Indian Classical and Western Dancing. Keyboard, Guitar and Carnatic music practices are given so that children learn to appreciate the various forms of art and dance and tune their personalities. Different cultural programmes are organized during School Annual Day.
